DAY 5 of 10 DAYS OF GRATITUDE Grateful for: The Silence

DAY 5 of 10 DAYS OF GRATITUDE

Grateful for: The Silence

Today, I am grateful for the silence.

Those quiet days when I cried with a heavy heart, waiting on God for an answer...
And all I heard in return was silence.

Those days stretched my faith.
They taught me that even when God is silent, He is not absent.

I learned to say, “This too shall pass,”—even when nothing around me was changing.
I learned to believe in a God who sees, even when He doesn’t speak right away.

There were moments I felt the danger closing in—physically, emotionally, spiritually—and in my desperate prayers, I expected God to show up immediately.
But sometimes… He didn’t.
At least not in the way I thought He would.

He waited.
And I had to wait too.
In silence.
In surrender.

And it was in that silence that my faith matured.
Not because I heard something new, but because I chose to believe what He had already said.

Some of God’s most powerful interventions in my life have come at what felt like the last minute.
Just when I thought I couldn’t take another step.
Just when I was about to give up.
That’s when the breakthrough came.

And looking back, I understand why now.
In the silence, He was strengthening me.
He was letting me see what I truly believed.
He was building my endurance, trust, and dependence.

Sometimes, God's silence isn't rejection.
It’s protection.
It’s preparation.
It’s Him doing a deep, quiet work in the background.

And I’m learning to say thank You—not just for the answered prayers, but for the silent seasons that shaped me.

Gratitude Check-In:

  • Have you ever experienced God's silence?

  • What did it teach you?

If you're in a silent season right now, take heart.
He’s still with you.
And when the time is right, He always speaks.

  1. And in the silence and the waiting, may we never forget His Goodness is constant...yesterday, today, and forever. SOA
